    Main Components

Our Menstrual cups are made of medical-grade silicone. Here are the main components of a menstrual cup:

Cup Body: This is the main part of the menstrual cup, which is inserted into the vagina to collect menstrual fluid. It is typically bell-shaped or conical.

Stem: Many menstrual cups have a stem at the base, which is used for removal. Some users may trim the stem to a comfortable length.

Rim: The rim of the cup creates a seal against the vaginal walls to prevent leaks. Its usually firmer than the rest of the cup.

Air Holes: Near the rim, there are small holes that allow air to enter, breaking the seal for easier removal.

    FAQ

    How do menstrual cups work?

Menstrual cups work by creating suction below your cervix and collecting period blood, instead of absorbing it, unlike what a tampon or pad does.

Can I have sex while wearing my cup?

No, it is not recommended to have sex with a cup in. A menstrual cup is not a contraceptive device and will not protect against pregnancy or STIs.

Can I swim and exercise with a cup in?

Yes, you can do almost anything with your cup inserted, like you would a tampon as long as you have a secure seal.

Why use a cup instead of a tampon?

Break up with the tampon aisle... forever! This Cup lasts for up to 10 years. That's more than 120 periods and replaces over 3,000 tampons and tons of waste. Save your wallet, and your environment.

Can I use a cup with a low cervix?

The length of your cervix can change over the course of your cycle, if you find on some days that the cup is sitting “low” or popping out, a small cup would be a option fit.

    Can I cut the stem?

Yes, the cup can be trimmed and it's super easy. Make sure you trim small amounts at a time, just keep trimming until it's comfortable.

How long can I wear my cup?

A cup can be worn for up to 12 consecutive hours, depending on your flow. We recommend emptying your cup every 8 hours, it should be emptied, washed/rinsed a minimum of two times per 24-hour period.

    My cup is discoloured?

Over time, your cup may change in colour with use. This is common and it does not necessarily mean you need to replace it! However, if the discolouration bothers you, try using our Sterilizing Steamer. This might help!

Will the cup 'stretch' my vagina?

We hear this from time to time, and the answer is simply, no.
